The Democrats never cease to amaze me

leave a comment »

The Democratic Party has done it again – they have managed to demonstrate more dysfunction than the competition.

In 2000, they managed to nominate the only goofball that could win the popular vote and lose the election. In 2004, they found the one jerk who could manage a loss to Dubya.

And in 2008, they will nominate an extremely liberal orator who will lose to John McCain.

A recent poll by The Associated Press says that Clinton has a better chance at beating McCain than Obama, despite the fact that the New York senator is statistically eliminated from competition.

Obama is the one jerk who can lose to a Republican in ’08 – and a Republican conservatives don’t even really like, at that.

It is past time to scrap this party and start over. Somehow, the Democrats have achieved the Washington dream-scenario – they pander to every special-interest group at once – and it has created a lack of true leadership at the helm.

With as low an approval rating as the Bush White House has garnered, the Incredible Hulk or even Jason Calacanis would be a slam dunk against any competition.

Dems, you had your chance to turn back to the Clinton family for help and you chose a different path.

Now, it’ll be four more years of McSame.

Prom story disappears from Digg despite 14,000 diggs

with one comment

The popular “Prom… ya digg?” story on Digg.com has disappeared from the site.

Check it out for yourself – http://digg.com/people/Prom_ya_digg.

Despite more than 14,000 diggs, the story has vanished without a trace.  I checked my history and it doesn’t appear there anymore.  Both of the comments I left are gone as well.

Will the story be on this week’s Diggnation?  It was one of the top stories.  We’ll have to wait and see…

By the way, here is a link to the picture from the original story.

A father looking for a way to finally beat his son at the game has taken things to a new level, with his hack actually using the composite video input to determine which notes need to be hit in real time.

Digg user asks girl to prom with one of the top stories of the year

leave a comment »

Cargo8, a fellow geek on the social news website Digg, used a picture story to ask a chick to his prom. Apparently, the chick turned him down or something because he is now asking us to bury the story – it has 12,734 diggs and ranks on the second page of the top stories of the past year. That’s one doodle that can’t be undid, homeskillet.

Just be proud of what you’ve done. I bet there are a lot of girls that think this is awesome.

You have to watch these videos. Hilarious, and a little sad at times. A very good round-up from my friends at Cracked.com.

ABC was the big loser in last night’s debate according to Washington Post columnist

with 3 comments

As it turns out, many folks agreed with my blog entry following the debate last night. In it, I slammed ABC News for putting on what I saw as a biased train wreck of a debate with little substance.

I also called for the Democratic party to prevent candidates from participating in ABC News debates in future election cycles.

In a column today for the Washington Post, Tom Shales echoed many of the same sentiments.

We have to hold our media accountable. ABC News owes the public an apology for what went on last night.
